Standard Disk Clean Up

Click on the the Window search or press the Windows Key + S on your Keyboard and then in search start typing Disk Clean up, you should see the image below (Image 1)Image 1First, try launching the application as 'Run as Administrator' (below Image 2)

After an initial scan you should see the window below (Image 3)or (Image 4 below)

If you see the screen with Clean up system files (image 4) it may mean that you opened the application, not as an administrator, or you do not have administrator rights.  You can try clicking on Clean up system files and if you have the correct rights, the application will close and launch and show Image 3.

Check on all Options, if you see something referring to old versions of Windows, we need to check that also

Click on OK

Click on Delete Files (Image 5 Below)

You will then see something like this (Image 6 Below)

Hopefully, after this your C drive will have some more space.



Advanced Disk Clean up


Click on the the Window search or press the Windows Key + S on your Keyboard and then in search start typing Disk Clean up, you should see the image below (Image 1)Image 1First, try launching the application as 'Run as Administrator' (below Image 2)

After the initial scan, click on More Options (image 3 below)

If you click on Clean up... under the Programs and Features section, you will be redirected to the setting windows where you can uninstall applications that you are not using or need. (image 4 below)

If you click on Clean up...  under the System Restore and Shadow copies, it will try to remove all but the last restore poin. To proceed, click on Delete (image 5 below)

Then Click on OK and then you will see the window below appear, click on Delete Files (image 6 below)

The Disk Clean up windows will appear and once completed close. (image 7 below)
